Michelle Enke

Michelle Enke is an experienced library professional currently serving as the Manager of Genealogy and Special Collections at the City of Wichita, Kansas, since August 2002. In this role, Michelle oversees a substantial collection of over 46,000 genealogy books and 20,000 titles focused on Kansas and the Great Plains. Prior work includes a position as Reference Librarian at the Missouri River Regional Library from December 2001 to August 2002, where responsibilities included managing the genealogy and local history collections. Michelle holds a Master of Library & Information Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Truman State University. Ongoing professional development includes participation in various genealogy institutes, such as the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy and the Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburgh.
