Fire Chief at City Of Willowick

Joseph R. Tennyson began their work experience in 2001 as a Firefighter/Paramedic for the City of Kirtland. In 2003, they transitioned to the City of Willowick where they served in roles such as Lieutenant/Paramedic and eventually became the Fire Chief in November 2020. Throughout their career, they have also worked as a Firefighter/Paramedic for the City of Eastlake starting in 2005.

Joseph R. Tennyson began their education at Bowling Green State University in 1999, where they studied photography. In 2000, they attended Auburn Career Center and completed coursework in Firefighter 240 and Paramedic training. Continuing their education in the field of fire science and firefighting, Tennyson attended Lakeland Community College from 2018 to 2019, where they earned an Associate of Science degree in Fire Science. In 2012, they furthered their knowledge at the Ohio Fire Academy, specializing in Fire/Arson Investigation and Prevention. Tennyson also pursued additional training at the Connecticut Fire Academy, focusing on Honor Guard, and at Cuyahoga Community College, where they studied Hazardous Materials Technician and Fire Safety Inspector.
