Brandon Shope

Brandon Shope is a communications specialist and media professional with extensive experience in public relations, journalism, and media production. Currently serving as a Communications Specialist and Assistant PIO for the Wilmington Police Department since June 2021, Brandon excels in writing press releases, coordinating media interviews, and producing video content. Earlier roles include Media Relations Coordinator for New Hanover County Schools and General Assignment Television News Reporter for Spectrum and Charter Communications. As the co-owner and marketing manager at Creative Beats Music Lessons, Brandon developed branding strategies while also freelancing in photography and video editing through Shope Media Productions. A graduate of the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies, Brandon has honed a diverse skill set in media relations, crisis communication, and social media content creation.
