Maria Wimbrough

Maria Wimbrough is a Family Services Specialist II with experience in various roles within the educational and social services sectors. Currently employed by the City of Winchester, Virginia Local Government since September 2025, Maria has previously worked as a UC Instructional Aide at Timber Ridge School and as a Vocational Counselor with The Choice Group. Maria's background includes serving as a Bilingual Lead Educational Support Specialist and Bilingual Educational Support Specialist at the Board of Child Care, as well as working as an Employment Specialist for Employment Advocates Group and in retail as a Key Holder and Sales Associate at Pet Valu. Maria holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services from Old Dominion University, expected in May 2025, and an Associate of Arts degree from Northern Virginia Community College.
