Jonathan Wilker has a diverse work experience in the field of fire services and project management. Jonathan is currently serving as the Deputy Fire Chief - Support Services for the City of Windsor since June 2021. Prior to that, they were the Fire Chief/CEMC for the Township of Algonquin Highlands from March 2020 to March 2021 and for the Whitewater Region Fire Department from November 2017 to February 2020. Jonathan also worked as the Rural Sector Chief for the City of Ottawa from January 2016 to September 2017. Before transitioning into the fire services field, Jonathan worked as an Eastern Ontario Sales representative for Darch Fire from October 2015 to January 2016. Additionally, they held the position of Project Manager at Direct Energy from 1992 to 2012.
Jonathan Wilker attended Carleton University from 1987 to 1991, where they did not earn a specific degree or major in any field of study. Later, from 2000 to 2002, they pursued their education at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology, specializing in Project Management. Returning to Algonquin College in 2014, Jonathan studied Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution for one year, completing their education in this particular field.
