Hazel Borys

Hazel Borys currently serves as the Director of Planning Property and Development for the City of Winnipeg, a position held since July 2023. Prior to this role, Hazel Borys was the Managing Principal at PlaceMakers, LLC from February 2004 to August 2023, focusing on resilience in the new economy, economic development through land use law reform, and enhancing outreach and brand communications. Hazel Borys holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, earned between 1998 and 2000, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University, completed from 1991 to 1994.
