Alex Arriaga

Alex Arriaga serves as the Assistant Commissioner of Health & Human Services for the City of Worcester, overseeing operations across multiple divisions, managing budgets and grants, and implementing policies compliant with local regulations since January 2020. Prior experience includes roles such as Director of Veterans' Services at Veterans Inc., where responsibilities centered on client programming, and Veterans Service Officer for both the Town of Leicester and Town of Boylston, focusing on veterans' economic and medical needs. Alex’s background also includes positions in health services and a military career as a Combat Engineer in the Army National Guard. Alex holds a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work, complemented by an Associate degree in Criminal Justice.
