Chelsea Orefice, MPH, serves as the Emergency Preparedness Planning and Operations Coordinator for the City of Worcester, responsible for regional health and medical emergency preparedness planning and oversight of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Health and Medical Coordinating Coalition grant. Previous roles include Researcher for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Substance Addiction Prevention Coordinator for The Springfield Department of Health and Human Services, and Emergency Preparedness Consultant at MassMutual. Orefice began a career in healthcare research and emergency management, contributing to various academic projects, including clinical research at Boston Medical Center and initiatives at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and Smith College. Orefice holds a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology from Smith College.
