John Odell

John Odell serves as the Chief of the Department of Sustainability & Resilience for the City of Worcester since February 2009, where responsibilities include leading municipal sustainability initiatives and implementing the Green Worcester Plan. With over 20 years of expertise in energy efficiency and conservation, John oversees various green projects, including a $75M energy services initiative with Honeywell International and multiple renewable energy installations. Prior to this role, John worked as the Energy Administrator at the Concord Municipal Light Plant from 1996 to 2009. John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of the Holy Cross, earned between 1983 and 1987.
