Randy Corbin has extensive work experience in the field of emergency services, starting from their time as a Volunteer/Firefighter/Assistant Chief at Coppell Fire Department in 1967. Randy later served as a Lieutenant/Deputy Chief/Training Officer at DeSoto Fire Department from 1976 to 1979, and then as a Firefighter/Lieutenant/Training Officer/Administrative Assistant to the Fire Chief at Addison Fire Department from 1979 to 1984.

In 1984, Corbin became the Fire Chief at Lewisville Fire Department, where they oversaw the operations of five fire stations and managed an annual budget of $7.3 million. During their tenure, they also provided contract services for EMS to two other incorporated cities and contracted Fire/Rescue/EMS to areas of Denton County.

Corbin then moved on to Trinity Workplace Learning in 1999, where they served as Vice President and was responsible for forming alliances and business relationships with the emergency response community. Randy also maintained their certifications as a Master Firefighter and Instructor during this time and served as a member of the FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Team Texas Task Force 1.

In 2007, Corbin became the Fire Chief at Wylie Fire & Rescue, leading an ISO 1 department that operates as a Quint-concept department with three front-line quints equipped with CAFS and ALS. The department provides fire-based EMS primarily from the staffed quints, with assistance from a regionally-supported ALS Medic unit.

Finally, in 2009, Corbin joined BCFS Emergency Services as part of the State- and National-level Incident Management Team. The specific dates of their roles at this company are not provided in the information.

Randy Corbin has a diverse education history. Randy obtained a B.A. degree from the University of North Texas from 1967 to 1971, with a focus on Biology, English, and Chemistry. Later, from 1974 to 1978, they attended Tarrant County Junior College, where they earned an Associate of Applied Sciences degree in Fire Protection Technology, graduating cum laude. In 1993, Randy pursued further education and completed the Executive Fire Officer program from the National Fire Academy, specializing in Fire Service Administration, which lasted until 1996.
