Andrew Waller

Andrew Waller has extensive experience in public service and leadership roles within the City of York Council, serving as a Shadow Executive Member and various Executive Member positions focused on Children, Young People, Education, Economy, Strategic Planning, and the Environment since May 2015. Waller also held a directorial role at Yorwaste Ltd from June 2017 to May 2023 and served as a Councillor for the City of York Council from May 1994 to May 2011, including a leadership position from 2008 to 2011 and an Environment Portfolio Holder role from 2003 to 2008. Prior to local government service, Waller worked as a Passenger Accountant for Great North Eastern Railway from February 1997 to March 2005. Waller holds a BSc in Physics from Imperial College London, completed between 1987 and 1990.
