Laura Swiszczowski is an accomplished equity, diversity, and inclusion expert with extensive experience across various sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at the City of York Council since March 2025, Laura previously held the same title at Teach First from February 2021 to February 2025, where Laura implemented comprehensive ED&I strategies. Laura's tenure at The London School of Economics and Political Science included managing the action plan to address sexual harassment and violence, while Laura's earlier roles at KPMG UK and Business in the Community focused on developing and co-designing EDI strategies and programs. Laura's career began at Stonewall and the UK Resource Center for Women in Science, Engineering and Technology, where Laura provided insights and guidance on diversity issues. Laura holds a BA (Hons) in Sociology and Philosophy from the University of East Anglia and a Bachelor of Arts from Beckfoot School.
