Rheagan Basabica

Rheagan Basabica, CPA, CGFM, serves as the Finance Director and Treasurer for the City of Ypsilanti since January 2014, overseeing accounting and finance functions for the mid-size city government, including budgeting, financial auditing, and compliance with Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) standards. Prior to this role, Rheagan worked as an Accountant II and Assistant General Manager at Quality Guards Services and Investigation Agency, Inc., managing operations and payroll for a medium-sized security service provider. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Saint Louis University (PH), a Bachelor's degree in Income Tax Accounting from Wayne County Community College District, and a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Baguio.
