Emily Sherrod

Emily Sherrod is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in partnership development and community engagement within the public parks sector. As the Director of Partnership Development at City Parks Foundation since 2017, Emily has played a pivotal role in cultivating relationships and managing the NYC Green Fund, while also leading initiatives to strengthen the NYC Parks and Open Space Partners coalition. Prior to this role, Emily held various positions at the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation, where responsibilities included outreach coordination and volunteer group development. Earlier career highlights include serving as a Communications Analyst at M Powered Strategies and managing programs for Mary Ford Elementary School with AmeriCorps VISTA. Emily holds a Master of Public Administration in Urban Policy and Management from The George Washington University, along with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Hospitality and Tourism from the College of Charleston.
