Valerie Whitney

Valerie Whitney is an accomplished arts operations and production leader with extensive experience in managing large-scale events and festival programming. Currently serving as the Director of Arts Operations & Production at City Parks Foundation, Valerie oversees the planning and execution of various performances, including the Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage festival and the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre. Previously, as the Director of Production at Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts, Valerie fostered a collaborative work environment while managing concert production. Valerie held similar roles at O+ Festival, where the logistics for a multi-day music event were directed, and at New York Philharmonic, where major gala events were organized. Valerie's operational expertise is further supported by a Bachelor’s degree in Music from Hunter College and certificates in Orchestra Management and Not-For-Profit Financial Management.
