Dr. Gail Joyner

Dr. Gail Joyner is an accomplished education leader currently serving as the Assistant Superintendent for the City School District of New Rochelle since August 2022. Previously, Dr. Joyner held significant roles in Yonkers Public Schools, including Transformational Principal at Cross Hill Academy and Lead Facilitator at the Yonkers Leadership Academy from August 2010 to August 2022. Dr. Joyner's extensive career began at the NYC Department of Education, where roles included Principal, Teacher, Coach, and Assistant Principal from December 1989 to August 2010. Dr. Joyner holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership, Administration, and Policy from Fordham University, a Master of Science in Educational Administration and Supervision from Mercy University, a Master of Science in English from Lehman College, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication and Media Studies from the New York Institute of Technology.
