Matthew Lucero

Matthew Lucero is an accomplished educator with extensive experience in music and arts education. Currently serving as the Director of PreK-12 Performing and Visual Arts at the City School District of New Rochelle since August 2019, Matthew previously held several key positions at Nyack Public Schools from September 2010 to August 2019, including Music Department Chair and Orchestra Director. Additionally, Matthew has contributed to the JCC Thurnauer School of Music as an Associate Conductor and teacher in Music Theory, and was a Choral Teaching Assistant and Piano Accompanist at Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Institute. Matthew holds advanced degrees in Music Education and Educational Leadership from prestigious institutions, including Teachers College, Columbia University, and SUNY New Paltz.
