Rochelle Brown

Rochelle Brown is an experienced educator with a strong background in social studies instruction and teacher development. Currently serving as a 6th Grade Social Studies Teacher at the City School District of New Rochelle since September 2021, Rochelle teaches Ancient Civilizations to multiple sections. Previous roles include 8th Grade Social Studies Teacher at the NYC Department of Education, Coordinator of New Teacher Development at Central Queens Academy Charter School, and various teaching positions at White Plains Senior High School, Uncommon Schools, and West Bronx Academy for the Future. Rochelle has also contributed to teacher development as a Coach for NYC Teaching Fellows and served as a History Presenter for Lion Television. Educational qualifications include ongoing doctoral studies in Educational Administration and Supervision and advanced certificates in school leadership from St. John's University, alongside multiple degrees in education, history, and political science.
