Abigail has experience as a Sustainable Energy and Development Specialist at Three Consulting and as a Sustainability Consultant at BioRegional SA. Abigail has also worked as a Researcher at the University of Cape Town and managed the KwaZulu Natal Sustainable Energy Forum at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization. Abigail holds an MSc in Energy and Development Studies from the University of Cape Town.

In cooperation with the MIT Media Lab, the CityScienceLab, founded in 2015 at the HafenCity University Hamburg, explores urban challenges and develops future urban scenarios in the era of digitalization in dialogue with partners from science, civil society, politics, and business. It pursues a trans and interdisciplinary perspective by linking technical issues with social and cultural developments.
