Allan Chan has several years of experience in the field of quality assurance and management. Allan began their career as a Technical Manager, working for various companies from 2000 to 2007. Allan then served as a Sourcing Manager at Sainsbury's Asia Limited, where they were responsible for sourcing new suppliers and managing factory accreditations. Following this, Allan worked at Pizza Hut Hong Kong at Jardine Restaurant Group as the Senior Manager of Quality Assurance, Research & Development. In this role, they were responsible for supplier management, customer complaints, and project management. Allan then joined General Mills, first as the Regional HD QRO Manager, Asia, and later as the Quality & Regulatory Operations Manager, Haagen-Dazs SBU, Asia. In these positions, Allan developed supplier quality assurance strategies and supported quality system development. Allan also played a key role in retail package development and ensured regulatory compliance for all packaged goods. Allan then served as the General Manager at Tingfung Foods Ltd before joining Godiva Chocolatier (Asia) Limited as the Senior Quality Assurance Manager. Allan recently joined City Super Limited as the Head of Quality Assurance.
Allan Chan has a diverse education history. Allan first pursued a Bachelor of Science in Food Technology from The Manchester Metropolitan University, specializing in Food Science and Technology. Allan attended from 1996 to 1998 and successfully obtained their degree.
Afterward, Allan furthered their education by pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Alliance Manchester Business School. Allan completed their MBA program from 2001 to 2003.
In addition to their academic qualifications, Allan has also obtained several certifications in the field of food safety and hygiene. In 1997, they earned a Diploma in Food Hygiene Management from the Royal Society of Health. Allan then obtained the Intermediate Certificate in Applied HACCP Principles from The Royal Institute of Public Health in 2003. Lastly, in 2012, Allan acquired the Level 3 HACCP for Food Manufacturing certification from the Royal Society for Public Health.
