Leah Blackwood

Scenic Artist at City Theatre Company

Leah Blackwood is an experienced scenic artist with a career spanning several decades in the theater industry. Since 2009, Leah has been contributing to Pittsburgh Musical Theater, while also maintaining a long-term role at City Theatre Company since 2002. Previous positions include scenic artist roles at Jewish Theater of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Irish & Classical Theatre, and Pittsburgh Public Theater. In addition to artistic work, Leah held the title of Mother at Mothership from 1987 to 2011, nurturing two daughters, Zinnia Dahlia and Lillian. Leah's educational background includes an Associate's degree in Visual Communications from The Art Institutes, attended from 1981 to 1983, and earlier studies at Sayville High School.
