George Bounoutas

George Bounoutas is a seasoned professional in the field of pharmacology with extensive experience in both preclinical and translational research. Currently serving as the Director of In Vivo Pharmacology at City Therapeutics since February 2024, George previously held the position of Associate Director of In Vivo Pharmacology at Ring Therapeutics from October 2019 to February 2024. Prior experience includes a role as Scientific Technical Leader I at Editas Medicine from October 2016 to October 2019, and a decade-long tenure at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) as Scientist II, focusing on ophthalmology and oncology. George also contributed to research on parathyroid hormone and bone biology as a Senior Research Technologist at Massachusetts General Hospital from September 1999 to September 2006. George holds a Master of Science in Human Genetics from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Carnegie Mellon University.
