Arnaldo Bernabe

Arnaldo Bernabe is an experienced leader in public safety, currently serving as the Director/Chief of Public Safety & Campus Police Services at The City University of New York since September 1998. In this role, Bernabe is responsible for the safety and security of a diverse campus community, including over 7,200 college students, approximately 12,000 Continuing Education students, and over 1,000 employees. Prior experience includes a series of leadership positions within the City University of New York system, culminating from roles as Patrol & Operations Lieutenant and Public Safety Campus Police Sergeant. Bernabe's career began with the New York City Police Department's Division of School Safety and includes service as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the United States Marine Corps. Academic credentials include a Master’s Degree in Public Administration & Urban Studies and several certifications in security management and law enforcement training.
