Denis McCarthy II

Denis McCarthy II has extensive experience in public service and facility management, currently serving as Chairman of the New York St. Patrick's Day Parade & Celebration Committee since November 2017, a role that honors the historical significance of the parade. In addition to this position, Denis has been a Trustee at IUOE Local 30 since June 2009 and has worked as a Senior Stationary Engineer at the City University of New York since January 2004, overseeing the operations of a large campus and managing a team of 25 personnel. Previously, Denis served as a Councilman in the Town of Mount Pleasant from January 2014 to December 2017, where leadership and service led to significant improvements in government transparency and public communication, addressing fiscal challenges in the community. Denis also held the role of Senior Consultant at Ambit Energy from July 2007 to June 2017. Educational credentials include an AAS in Aerospace Technology from Farmingdale State College and studies at Cornell University and The City University of New York.
