Kevin Gardner

Kevin Gardner serves as the Director of the Structural Biology Initiative and holds the title of Einstein Professor at City College of New York since September 2013. Previously, Kevin held various academic positions at UT Southwestern Medical Center from 1998 to 2021, including roles as Professor and Associate Professor in Biophysics and Biochemistry, and as Adjunct Professor in the Department of Biophysics. In addition to academic roles, Kevin co-founded Optologix, Inc. and served as Chief Scientific Officer from 2015 to 2018. Educationally, Kevin earned a PhD in Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry from Yale University and completed postdoctoral research in Biophysics at the University of Toronto. Kevin's undergraduate studies were completed at the University of California, Davis, where a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry was obtained.
