Peter R. Lattanzio

Peter R. Lattanzio serves as the Associate Vice Chancellor and University Executive Deputy General Counsel for The City University of New York since May 2023, providing legal oversight across a large urban university system. Previous roles include Deputy General Counsel and Chief of the Commercial Litigation Unit at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, and Associate General Counsel - Head of Litigation for the New York City Council. Lattanzio's prior experience includes working as a senior associate in litigation at Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP and Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP, focusing on complex commercial and securities litigation. Lattanzio holds a J.D. from Boston College Law School and a B.A. in Political Science and History from Binghamton University.
