Vivian Yuen Ting Liu currently serves as the Associate Director of Research, Evaluation, and Program Support at The City University of New York since December 2020. Prior to this role, Liu held various positions at the Community College Research Center from January 2012 to December 2020, including Post Doctoral Research Associate, Research Associate, and Senior Research Assistant. Liu's academic experience includes teaching as an Instructor at Teachers College, Columbia University in late 2019 and as an Adjunct Professor at Hunter College in early 2017. Earlier in the career, Liu worked as a Quantitative Research Analyst at Communities for Teaching Excellence and as a Consultant for Teach for America. Liu holds a PhD in Education Policy and Social Analysis with a focus on Economics and Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, as well as an M.A. in Economics and Education from the same institution. An undergraduate degree in Economics and Education was earned at Macalester College, complemented by an International Baccalaureate in Economics and Mathematics obtained at United World College.
