David Felkner is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in power systems and plant operations. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer at City Utilities of Springfield since May 2002, David has played a crucial role as the Plant Engineer at a 200 MW coal-fired power plant and contributed to the project team for a new 300 MW coal-fired power plant in 2008. Prior to this, David worked as a Substation Design Engineer at Ledbetter, Toth, and Associates, where responsibilities included designing and overseeing the construction of REA substations. David's earlier experience includes serving as a System Engineer for Entergy Operations, Inc., focusing on the 480 V System for a Nuclear Power Plant, as well as being a Maintenance Engineer at TU Electric, where expertise in the 480 V electrical distribution system was developed. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri - Rolla, where studies took place from 1983 to 1986, and completed early education at Missouri State University and Clinton High School.
