Andrew Smith

Andrew Smith is currently an advisor at City Venue Management. Prior to this, they were a partner at Grant Thornton Australia from March 2014 to April 2018. Grant Thornton is one of the world's leading organisations of independent assurance, tax and advisory firms with over 1,200 employees in offices across Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. Andrew was responsible for overseeing the firm's transactions support team.

Before Grant Thornton, Andrew was the executive director and founding shareholder of Trident Gold Corp from May 2010 to March 2014. During their time there, they were responsible for the strategic direction and management of the company.

From November 2007 to January 2010, Andrew was the managing director, CEO and founding shareholder of Bassari Resources Ltd. Andrew was responsible for the overall management and development of the company during this time.

From November 2004 to November 2007, Andrew worked as an associate director in transaction support at EY. In this role, they advised clients on transactions ranging from mergers and acquisitions to capital raisings and restructurings.

Andrew Smith completed a Bachelor of Commerce at Monash University, majoring in Accounting and Finance. Andrew then completed a Masters in Applied Finance at the University of Melbourne. Andrew is currently a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Company Directors.
