Sean Ryan

Sean Ryan has extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Sean started their career as an Audit Team Supervisor at BDO Binder Hamlyn in 1984. Sean then worked as a Financial Accountant at Owners Abroad from 1989 to 1991. From 1991 to 1995, they served as the Chief Financial Accountant at First Choice Holidays, where they managed the financial accounts and reporting functions. Sean then moved on to become the Overseas Financial Controller at First Choice Holidays from 1995 to 1997, where they oversaw the consolidation of several overseas companies and managed the financial operations.

In 1998, Sean joined Tui Travel PLC as the Finance Director of Falcon Holidays and worked with the MD and board to develop business strategies. Sean led all aspects of financial operations and implemented improvements in management information, budgeting, and forecasting. Sean remained in this position until 2010.

From 2011 to 2012, Sean worked as a Financial Consultant, providing services such as accounting system review and working capital review.

In 2012, they joined Aura Business Consulting as a Director for a short period before joining Travel Department as the Finance and Commercial Director. In this role, they led all financial operations, including the introduction of a rolling forecast management accounting system, improved margin tracking, and supplier management.

Since 2013, Sean has been working as the Director of Finance at City Wonders LTD, formerly known as Dark Rome Ltd.

Sean Ryan has a diploma in IFRS from Chartered Accountants Ireland, which they obtained from 2011 to 2012. Sean also holds a bachelor's degree in Geography, with honors, from the University of Leicester, which they completed from 1981 to 1984. Additionally, they have an ACA certification from ICAEW.
