Sophia Hammonds

Sophia Hammonds, MD, MPH, FAAFP, serves as Vice President of the Ohio Market Medical Practice at Cityblock Health since September 2022, focusing on transformative healthcare for Medicaid and lower-income Medicare beneficiaries. Prior to this role, Sophia held several significant positions at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center from May 2015 to August 2022, including Vice Chair for Wellness and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine. Sophia's medical training includes completing a Doctor of Medicine degree at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and obtaining a Master of Public Health degree from The Ohio State University College of Public Health. Additionally, Sophia has experience as a Program Manager at The James Cancer Hospital and as a Resource Planning Analyst at The Ohio State University Medical Center, among other roles throughout a diverse academic and professional career.
