Bryan D. Smith

Bryan Smith currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of CityBus since September 2022, complementing a long-standing role as a Partner at Smith and Son Law, LLC since January 2011. Bryan has previously held significant positions in various transportation authorities, including Deputy CEO at the Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority from February 2017 to September 2022 and Chief Operating Officer at the Champaign Urbana Mass Transit District from January 2015 to December 2016. Bryan's extensive experience in public transportation began at PARTA where a progression through multiple roles culminated in the Director of Planning position, demonstrating expertise in operations, maintenance, and grant management. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Akron School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Operations Management from Kent State University.
