Paul Allison

Paul Allison has a decade of experience in web development and engineering. From 2004 to 2006, they were a Multimedia and Web Development Tutor at NUI Galway. In 2006, they became an E-learning Development Team Leader at ALISON - Online Learning. From 2008 to 2009, they worked as a Web Developer at Schneider Electric, where their main goal was to improve the performance and usability of the corporate Web site. From 2009 to 2011, they were a Senior Web Software Developer/Designer at Caint Limited, working on various medium to large-scale web-based software projects. From 2011 to 2014, Paul Allison was a Senior Software Engineer (Web technologies) at IBM, where they were a lead engineer on an international team that successfully delivered an ambitious large-scale web-based version of the acclaimed IBM Endpoint Manager (Bigfix) software. Paul was awarded the Outstanding Technical Achievement and Manager's Choice awards. From 2016 to 2017, they were a Senior Software Engineer, TV Team at Plex, Inc. where they started as a weekend contractor and then graduated to senior fulltime engineer. In 2019, Paul Allison joined CitySwift as a Lead Frontend Engineer, where they solely developed the frontend of their 3 flagship products from nothing to first release, winning the IBEC Technology Innovation of the Year award. Paul now leads and scales a growing frontend team that works on subsequent releases of these products.

Paul Allison completed an MSc Information Systems Management from the University of Galway in 2002, with a field of study in Stream B – Internet and Multimedia Studies.
