Fernando X. Luna has extensive experience in finance and business management. Fernando X. started their career in 2000 as a Senior Financial Analyst in FP&A at Tyco. Fernando X. later took on the role of Mergers & Acquisitions Manager, where they successfully positioned and sold seven companies, generating over $350M in cash. Fernando X. also acquired four companies to strengthen Tyco's core service and product businesses.

In 2007, Luna joined Tyco Retail Solutions as a Senior Finance Manager in FP&A, where they supported the CFO in budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making models. Fernando X. led the FP&A team and provided in-depth analysis to track performance versus plan/forecast. Fernando X. reduced the patent portfolio to align with the overall business strategy and delivered $0 in savings.

In 2014, Luna moved to Tyco Fire Products as the Business Unit Finance Lead. Fernando X. was responsible for the P&L of the business unit with $500M in revenue. Fernando X. led the FP&A team and exceeded revenue, segment income, and cash flow targets by over 10%. Fernando X. implemented product line P&Ls, resulting in the exit of low-margin products and improving profits by 250 bps. Additionally, they launched a subscription-based model for fire detection intelligent solutions/analytics.

Most recently, Luna worked at OPW, a Dover Company, as the Business Unit CFO. Fernando X. was responsible for the P&L of the business unit with $600M in revenue. Fernando X. partnered with the executive team to deliver on the annual budget and execute the long-term strategic plan. Fernando X. reorganized the finance team by product line, providing better business insight on profitability and improving the allocation of capital and product portfolio balance. Fernando X. also implemented strategic pricing initiatives, resulting in an 8% price increase with no impact on unit volume.

Fernando X. Luna obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting and Finance from the Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil in 1995. Fernando X. then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Corporate Finance & International Business from Oklahoma City University, which they completed in 1999. In 2005, Luna received a certification as a Six Sigma - Green Belt from the International Association for Six Sigma Certification. Later, from 2013 to 2015, they attended Georgetown University McDonough School of Business and earned a Master's degree in Leadership & Strategy.
