Laura Spitaleri has a wealth of experience in the field of research. Laura began their career in 2015 as a Praktikantin at the agisra e. V. - Informations- und Beratungsstelle für Migrantinnen und geflüchtete Frauen. In 2017, they moved on to become a Praktikantin at the KOK - Bundesweiter Koordinierungskreis gegen Menschenhandel e. V. Subsequently, they worked as a Praktikantin at The Australian National University in 2018. That same year, they also held positions as a Studentische Mitarbeiterin at both the Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences - University of Groningen and Utrecht University. In 2019, they worked as a Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin at the SOEP - DIW Berlin. In 2020, they took on a role as a Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin at Minor – Projektkontor für Bildung und Forschung. Finally, in 2021, they became a Projektkoordinatorin at Minor - Wissenschaft Gesellschaft, and in 2022 they began working as a Research Analyst at Civey.

Laura Spitaleri began their educational journey in 2012 when they completed their Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Groningen. In 2016, they completed their Master of Science in Psychology from the same institution. Laura then continued their education in 2017, completing their Research Master in Migration, Ethnic Relations and Multiculturalism from Utrecht University. Additionally, they attended two summer schools, one in 2017 at Africa e Mediterraneo / Università di Bologna for Forced Migration and Asylum: a Multidisciplinary Approach, and one in 2016 at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem for Conflict Resolution from Theory to Practice: Israel as a Case Study.
