Kayla Anderson

Co-facilitator Of The Nashville Youth Design Team at Civic Design Center

Kayla Anderson is a lead research assistant at Vanderbilt University's Drinking Water Justice Lab, specializing in community-based research to tackle challenges within the drinking water industry. Additionally, Kayla partners with the Aspen Institute's Weave Initiative to engage in qualitative data collection through interviews with community builders nationwide. As a co-facilitator of the Nashville Youth Design Team at the Civic Design Center, Kayla works with youth to explore community wellness through action research. Kayla's experience includes teaching social studies at the middle school level and serving as a Teach For America Corps Member. Currently pursuing a PhD in Community Research and Action at Vanderbilt University, Kayla holds an M.Ed in Community Development and Action and a B.A. in Sociology from Whitworth University.
