Elizabeth Green has a diverse work experience in the field of journalism and education. Elizabeth is the Co-Founder and CEO of the Civic News Company since 2008, and also serves as the Founder and CEO of the company since February 2023. In 2014, they became an Author for "Building a Better Teacher" and a Keynote Speaker for The Lavin Agency. Elizabeth is the Co-Founder and Board Chair of the American Journalism Project from February 2019 to March 2021. Elizabeth has also been a Board Member for the Education Writers Association from 2009 to 2016. Elizabeth has had fellowship experiences at the Social Science Research Council and Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. Prior to their current roles, they worked as a Staff Reporter for The New York Sun and an Education Reporter for U.S. News & World Report.
Elizabeth Green attended Harvard University from 2002 to 2006, where they completed their undergraduate degree in Social Studies.
