Sarah Kennedy

Sarah Kennedy, LMSW, has extensive experience in social work and community outreach, currently serving as a Case Manager at Civic Works, where comprehensive supportive services are provided for adults in green construction training. Sarah has also held roles such as Project Coordinator, directing energy-efficiency programs in Baltimore, and Summer Arts Co-Director at Pen Lucy Action Network, focusing on music and arts education for youth. Previous internships with Catholic Relief Services and Green and Healthy Homes Initiative involved grassroots organizing and advocacy for climate change and lead poisoning cases, respectively. Sarah's early work includes directing the CHIP Mentoring Program at Alternative Directions, Inc., where case management and volunteer coordination were essential. An AmeriCorps Volunteer role further emphasized support services for children of incarcerated parents. Educational achievements include a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work and a dual Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Biblical and Theological Studies from Wheaton College.
