Jared L. has a solid work experience in the field of cybersecurity and information technology. Jared is currently the Cybersecurity Innovation Chief at the Civil-Military Innovation Institute Inc. since February 2022. Prior to that, they worked at United Bank as a Security Analyst from December 2019 to February 2022. Before their role at United Bank, Jared served in the Army for several years, where they held various positions including Cybersecurity/Infrastructure Analyst from January 2015 to December 2019, Information Technology Specialist from November 2013 to December 2014, and Development Lead from September 2008 to October 2013.
Jared L. obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Regents Bachelor of Arts from West Virginia University in 2016. Prior to that, they earned an Undergraduate Certificate in IT Infrastructure Security from American Military University in 2015. Jared then pursued a Master of Science degree in Business Cybersecurity Management from West Virginia University, which they completed in 2021. In terms of additional certifications, Jared obtained the GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) certification from GIAC Certifications in March 2019. Jared also obtained the GIAC Advisory Board certification and the GIAC Response and Industrial Defense (GRID) certification from the same institution in January 2019.
