From 2007 to 2008, Hatfield obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Military and Strategic Leadership from Mountain State University. In 2011 to 2012, they attended the Command and General Staff College, earning a degree in Intermediate Level Education (ILE). In 2013 to 2014, Hatfield pursued further studies in Military and Strategic Leadership at CGSC (AOC). Additionally, they obtained certifications in various fields, including Swiftwater Rescue Technician from Spec Rescue International in May 2017 and Basic Military Emergency Management Specialist from FEMA in December 2016. Hatfield also holds a FEMA Basic Instructor certification, completed in December 2016. In June 2015, they achieved the Masters Level FEMA Continuity Practitioner (COOP LVL 2) certification from FEMA. Furthermore, Hatfield obtained the Hazardous Materials Operations - NFPA certification from The Pro Board in October 2012 and earned an Emergency Medical Technician certification from the West Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services in December 2018. Hatfield's education and certifications reflect their commitment to military leadership, emergency operations, and various specialized skills.
