Sheri Aguirre

Sheri Aguirre has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Sheri is currently employed at the California Earthquake Authority since 2019, where they hold the positions of Internal Communications & Culture Advisor and Strategic Initiatives & External Relations. Prior to this, Sheri worked as the Director of Communications & Outreach/Managing Director Northern California at Civilian from 2017. Before that, they served as the Managing Director at Earthquake Brace and Bolt from 2014 to 2017, overseeing statewide operations, marketing, and advocacy. Sheri also worked as the Communications Director at California Earthquake Authority from 2013 to 2014. Sheri has gained valuable PR experience as the Head of Public Relations at Perforce Software from 2001 to 2013 and as a Senior Account Executive at McClenahan Bruer Communications from 2000 to 2001. Additionally, they have held various positions including Director of Communications at American Beverage Association from 1992 to 1999, Manager of Public Relations at National Association of Convenience Stores from 1989 to 1993, and Legislative Assistant at Congressman Bob Clement, U.S. House of Representatives from 1988 to 1989.

Sheri Aguirre has a BA degree in Communications from Vanderbilt University. After that, they pursued further education and completed an MA degree in Public Communication at American University from 1992 to 1994.
