Vanessa Liston

Vanessa Liston is an accomplished professional with significant leadership experience spanning various sectors. Currently serving as CEO of CiviQ since 2013, Vanessa leads a company that develops cloud-based software to facilitate open public consultations through the OpenConsult platform. In addition to this role, Vanessa has been a County Councillor for Kildare County Council since June 2019, including terms as Cathaoirleach and Leas Cathaoirleach of the Celbridge-Leixlip Municipal District, and serves on several committees addressing policy, environmental services, and health. Vanessa’s previous roles include Research Associate at Trinity College Dublin, Project Manager at General Electric GXS, Senior Development Engineer at Cambridge Technology Partners, Process Analyst at Accenture, and Community Developer with GOAL Ireland. Vanessa holds a PhD in Political Science from Trinity College Dublin, and advanced degrees in Multimedia Systems and Music from the same institution, as well as a year at the University of Oxford.
