Applied Data Engineer II at Civis Analytics

Drew Pappas has a diverse work experience in various fields. Drew started their career as a Head Research Assistant at the University of Michigan Law School, where they worked on evaluating "Ban the Box" policies to reduce unemployment and combat recidivism. Drew then worked as a Research Assistant at the Center for Human Growth and Development, focusing on studying the relationship between mealtime disengagement and obesity. Following this, they served as an Education Consultant at The Institute for Higher Learning. Drew then transitioned into the role of Technical Support Representative at Thomson Reuters before joining the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business as a Mobile Application Developer. Drew later became a Lead Web Developer at the University of Michigan- School for Environment and Sustainability. Currently, Drew is working at Civis Analytics, initially as an Applied Data Engineer and currently as an Applied Data Engineer II.

Drew Pappas has a diverse education history. They began their academic journey at Ypsilanti High School, where they obtained their high school diploma in 2014. During this time, Drew also attended the Early College Alliance at Eastern Michigan University, where they received another high school diploma.

After completing their high school education, Drew went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Michigan. They studied Philosophy and successfully completed their degree in 2017.

In 2016, Drew also obtained a certification called the Program for Education and Evaluation in Responsible Research and Scholarship (PEERRS) from the University of Michigan.
