Troy Simons has extensive experience in caregiving and community outreach, having worked in various capacities at Civitan Foundation, Inc. since June 2015 as a Caregiver. Prior to this role, Troy was a Farm Hand from July 2014 to June 2015 and served as a Community Outreach Facilitator with AmeriCorps from September 2013 to May 2014. Troy's early career includes caregiving at United Cerebral Palsy from August 2006 to May 2012. Academically, Troy earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a minor in Political Science from the University of Arizona, completing studies between January 2017 and October 2020.

Seeking to radically change disability unemployment through quality careers, training and education. Since 1968, Civitan Foundation has been providing services to over 800 families a year. With the inception of Camp Civitan over 40 years ago, Civitan sought a way to bring the outdoors to disabled individuals. Through volunteer initiatives and Camp Providers, thousands upon thousands of adults and children have had adventurous experiences that would never have been possible. Civitan Foundation has now successfully launched Civitan Village - a day program that educates and trains members of the disability community in Design, Culinary, Creative Arts, Nutrition, Business and Office skills, Media, Radio, and much more.
