Anelia Gonzalez-Castillo

Mrs. Gonzalez-Castillo, currently serves as the Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment (D of CIA), who formerly served as Wrightwood’s Assistant Principal. She is a dedicated educator who has a combined experience of 13+ years in education at Chicago Public Schools and Chicago International Charter School. She has worked as a special education teacher, case manager, instructional coach, assistant principal, and network and district support positions.

At the root of every decision, Mrs Gonzalez-Castillo bases it on what is best for our students and adults to continue to challenge the status quo of continuous improvement. Our students deserve our absolute best and continued commitment to creating a better and better learning experience. WE must leverage our strengths together to build upon our individual strengths and create a lasting impact on our students.

Mrs Gonzalez-Castillo pursued her leadership journey by earning a Master’s Degree Educational Leadership with her principal endorsement from Concordia University of Chicago. She has acquired a Certificate in School Management & Leadership from Harvard Business School & Graduate School of Education. Additionally, Mrs. Gonzalez-Castillo is a Huskie alum of Northern Illinois University where she earned her BA of English Language Arts and Teacher Certification.
