Cynthia Gonzales is a dedicated educator with diverse experience in teaching and admissions. Currently serving as a Middle School Science Teacher at Distinctive Schools and a Special Education Teacher with Civitas Education Partners, Cynthia has combined expertise in both general and special education. Previous roles include Admission Advisor at Chamberlain University, Admissions Coordinator at Northwestern College, and Enrollment Coordinator at Career Education Corporation, where analytical and problem-solving skills were utilized to enhance student transitions and improve admissions processes. Cynthia holds a Master’s degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Northeastern Illinois University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies and an Associate's degree in Human Resource Management.

Civitas Education Partners, (CEP) exists to provide equal access to opportunities that break the cycle of poverty by leading and supporting K-12 college preparatory schools. CEP is a school management organization that operates four campuses of Chicago International Charter School (CICS), CICS Ralph Ellison High School, CICS Northtown Academy High School, CICS Wrightwood Elementary School, and CICS Chicago Quest High School. CEP aims to provide its teams and students with an exceptional experience rooted in high expectations for student achievement and civic responsibility.
