Katie Hochenberger

Katie Hochenberger has a diverse work experience in the field of education and customer development. Katie started their career at Florida State University in 2007, where they worked as a Telecounselor/Telecounseling Lead in University Admissions until 2010. Katie then transitioned to the role of Academic Success Coach at Advising First: Center for Success Coaching, where they worked from 2011 to 2014. Katie then moved to the role of Academic Advisor at Advising First: Center for Exploratory Students from 2014 to 2016.

In 2016, Katie joined the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where they held multiple roles. Katie started as a Tier 2 Academic Advisor for the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences until 2022. During their time at UNC Charlotte, they also became a member of the LEADS Leadership Team for the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences from 2017 to 2022. Additionally, they took on the role of Advising System Technology Specialist from 2022 to 2023 and later served as an Associate Director & Tier 3 Academic Advisor from 2022 to 2023.

Currently, Katie is working at Civitas Learning as the Director of Customer Development, a role they assumed in 2023.

Katie Hochenberger has a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Adult and Community College Education, which they obtained from North Carolina State University in 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from Florida State University in 2016. Their undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Art Education, also from Florida State University, which they completed in 2011. In addition to their academic degrees, Katie has obtained several certifications, including the Career Consultant Training Program from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Certified Level 1 Academic Success Coach from InsideTrack, and K-12 Florida Teaching Certification in Art Education from the Department for Education. Katie is also Safe Zone Certified, a certification they received from Florida State University.
