Neeru Khosla began their career in 2007 when they founded CK12. Neeru also co-founded and served as the Executive Director of the CK12 Foundation in the same year. In 2007, they also served as the Executive Director of the CK-12 Foundation.

Neeru Khosla attended Stanford University from 2005 to 2006, where they earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Education. Prior to that, they attended San Jose State University from 1983 to 1985, where they earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Molecular Biology.
