Shiyang Shen

Health On Earth Radio Journalist & Coordinator at CKUT Radio

Shiyang (Alice) Shen is an accomplished founder and co-president of MSS Tech in Health, a student-run club dedicated to enhancing tech education in medicine through awareness and support for medical students. Active as a health journalist and coordinator for the Health on Earth radio show at CKUT Radio, Shiyang engages the community on various health topics. Previous roles include Global Health Scholar at McGill Global Health Programs, ER Scribe at ScribeCanada, and founder of the McGill Women's Health Advocacy Club, which addresses gender-specific health issues. Shiyang has also worked as a research assistant at McGill University and served as an illustrations editor for The McGill Daily. The educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine and Master of Surgery from McGill University, a Bachelor's degree in Honours Physiology from the same institution, and a Claude Watson Graduating Certificate in Visual Arts from Earl Haig Secondary School.

CKUT-FM is the official campus community radio station of McGill University. It can be heard at 90.3 FM in Montreal, 91.7 on cable, or on the CKUT website. CKUT's FM signal, broadcast from a tower on the top of Mount Royal, reaches as far as the Eastern Townships and upstate New York. CKUT is consistently voted as the Best Radio Station in The Montreal Mirror's, "Cult Montreal" Best of Montreal Readers Poll.
