Rich was introduced to the Clack family business during high school and college recesses. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1970, Rich started full-time with his emphasis on growing the bottle blow molding business. He was responsible for the growth of the blow molding components during the late 1970s, creating a complete line of brine tanks and specialized custom blow molding that currently includes three production facilities. Rich became President and CEO of Clack on the passing of his father W.E. (Bill) in 1987. Since then, he has been responsible for the growth in the water treatment segment of Clack. Rich stepped down as President in 2013, but remains the CEO and Chairman of Clack.
